Thai law allows foreigners to own apartments classified as condominiums outright in their names and without a time limit. One can rent out, mortgage, or resell their freehold units at will. However, it does not allow foreigners to own land in their own name. The solution is for them to register a long lease of 30 years at the Land Office for the land, with this lease being twice renewable.
The house itself can be registered in the name of the foreign owner. We share our office with a legal firm specializing in property transactions to secure our customers’ transactions and answer all their questions.
